Ra & Zach are getting married!

My sister Rachael is getting married! Zach asked her to
marry him in December, and their wedding is going to be May 5th! We are so excited and really love Zach- he is perfect for Ra! We are having a lot of fun with wedding planning right now- it is going to be beautiful!

Merry Christmas!

We had such a great time this Christmas! Katie was so excited about everything this year- from helping decorate the tree and front door, to our elf on the shelf "josephfiv" (we don't know why she named him that either), to Christmas Eve services. She was also very excited about Christmas being Jesus's birthday- she wanted to make sure we would be making Him a cake and that she could help! We read the Christmas story several times and Katie was very concerned that Jesus was not born in a hospital, because that is where babies are born! She decided that if He wasn't born in a hospital that he should have been born in a hotel,because she loves hotels and they are kind of like hospitals,right? We explained that there was no room at any "hotels" and that is why he was born in the manger.

This was Ellie's first Christmas and she was so cute! We did not buy her as many things as we did for Katie, which was fine because she played more with the boxes and paper!

Christmas Eve we went to the service at our church at 3:00, then met my family at their church at 5:00, then after that we went with the fam to our traditional Christmas Eve dinner....at El Chico! We have been going there for at least ten years- before Jason and I were married!

Christmas morning was great- Katie slept in our room that night just in case she woke up she wouldn't see anything before she was suppossed too! We got up around 8:00 and she ran in and saw that the cookies and milk we had left for Santa had been eaten, then ran around the corner and saw all of her presents!

A few weeks ago we had fall pictures taken by my friend Mitzi Penick- she has taken pictures for us several times and they always turn out great! Ellie was in a bad mood the day/afternoon of the pics, but we did manage to get her to smile in a few!

Eight months old!

Ellie is eight months old now! We have had several new firsts this month- she has started cruising on the furniture and has even let go a couple of times! I think she will be walking in a month or two- Katie walked at 9 months and I bet little sister will too! She will hold onto her little walker and it is so cute!

Ellie also had her first tooth pop up, which is great except that she has started biting me- not fun for me at all! I'm hoping she will stop soon!

She has also started waving "hi", clapping, and saying "DaDa". She loves her big sister, even though Katie is a little rough with her- Ellie will be a tough one! She will have to be to survive Katie!

The girls had fun at Halloween- Katie was a princess (of course) and Ellie was an "Ellie"phant!

Jason's parents are in town for about a month, so it has been fun to see them and for them to see the girls! They last saw Ellie when she was 3 weeks old! We are glad they will be here for Thanksgiving too!

Happy Half Birthday Ellie!

Today is Ellie’s half Birthday! I can’t believe this baby girl is six months old! Ellie is learning how to sit up on her own, but even though she is not very good at sitting yet, she can already crawl! She will crawl a little, then roll a couple of times, and somehow end up on the other side of the room! I think she is moving so early to keep with big sister-or maybe to get away from her!

We started eating cereal this past week and she is getting the hang of it-it is a very messy process, with more ending up on her bib and the high chair than in her mouth, but I’m sure in no time she will be eating a ton!

We have our six month appointment later this month, so I will have to post some stats then!

Big sister Katie is LOVING school! She loves her teacher and I think she would like to go every day, but we are sticking with three days/week for now. She cracks us up with funny things she says and does like:

* She said her Bible verse of the week from school was: “Children, obey your parents and if you remember this you will get a sticker.”

* “Mom, I’m exhausted…I need a nap!”

* She insists that she is going to marry Byron Binns!

* She loves “bacation” and staying hotels and was so upset when we had to come home last week!

* She eats pancakes EVERYDAY for breakfast…but every morning she pauses like she is really thinking about what she wants to eat and then says “I’ll have……pancakes!”

We are adjusting to life with two kids- well, trying to at least! Ellie is doing great- she wants to eat all of the time! She has gained weight and is growing like a weed! Katie loves her baby sister...sometimes a little too much! We have to tell her to "be gentle" about 100 times a day, but at least she likes her! We stay home a lot- it is a lot harder to get two kids ready to go somewhere than one! It took me about two hours to get us all ready and just go to the post office last week! I am sure it will get easier, but right now it is a big challenge. It may still be awhile before I attempt to take them both to Walmart!

Ellie's Birthday!

Ellie is finally here! Now that she is almost 5 weeks old I am getting to blog about her birth!
We were scheduled to be induced at 39 weeks because she was measuring a little on the small side (just like Katie did). I had not really been dilating before then anyway, and she was not acting like she wanted to come out! I went to see my doctor on March 9th and was still only 1cm, so we were on for our induction on the 10th! I was kind of excited about being induced because everything would be calm and we wouldn't have to rush to the hospital and everyone could plan on coming! The night before, Katie went to spend the night with my parents since we had to be at the hospital at 7. Aunt Ra was going to take her to school that morning and then that afternoon bring her up to see the baby because I was pretty sure we would have a baby by then!
Around 3:30 that morning I was cramping a little but was able to go back to sleep, and then I woke up at 5 to get ready to go, but I started hurting more while I was getting ready so we left a little earlier than planned and got to the hospital around 6. L&D was sooo busy, so I went to a room and put myself on the monitor! I was hurting a little more, but it just felt like cramping, not regular contractions. The anesthesiologist was making rounds, and while he was talking to me my water broke! I had not even been admitted yet, so I sent Jason out to get someone! I really started hurting right after my water broke, so a couple of my friends came in and started my IV and checked me- and I was already 4cm! I was a little nervous because I was hurting soo much and my fluid had meconium in it. The anesthesiologist came and did my epidural, and he did a great job putting it in, but I was going so fast it didn't really work- my contractions felt better but I felt the whole delivery-not fun! After my epidural was in they checked me again and I was 7, and they were trying to get my doctor. I was 10cm a few minutes later and I was feeling so much pressure-but we were trying to wait on my doctor to get there before I pushed so he could suction the meconium out before Ellie cried! We waited about 15 minutes on the doctor and when he got there I pushed about 3 times and we had sweet baby Ellie! She was so beautiful and perfect! She weighed 5 lb 12 oz (Katie was 5 lb 11oz) and was 18 inches long (Katie was 19 inches). Katie loves her little sister! We were so excited to take Ellie home and start new adventures as a party of four!

We had such a great time at Katie's third birthday! She of course wanted a princess party, so she dressed up as Cinderella and we decorated with lots of princess balloons, streamers, and dangling princesses! My mom made an amazing castle for Katie's cake- we were very impressed! Katie loved it of course! She got so many presents, and we finally had her swing set/playhouse up! She actually got it for Christmas from all of the grandparents, but it didn't exactly get put up in time...I think it was a little harder project than we all thought! I hired two guys to put it up one Saturday before her party, and it only took them about 5 hours to do the whole thing! She loves it and wants to play on it every day!

Katie is getting so big! She amazes us with the cute/funny things she says like:
"Tell me a whisper" (a whisper is a secret)
"I want to cubble with you!" (to cuddle)
Talking to the baby through my belly button
Feeding Emmi while I'm in the shower...sometimes 3 or 4 scoops!
Singing songs-she knows so many!

We decided not to paint the baby's room since the ceilings are so high and we just moved into this house. I had new bedding made that I love! A lady that I met at one of the craft fairs in NWA made it-I picked out several fabrics and I was so happy with how it turned out! I can't wait for Ellie to sleep in her bed!

Christmas 2010

Ok.... So I am finally blogging about Thanksgiving and Christmas...in April! Oh well-we have had a few things going on, like having a baby, but more on that later!
We had Thanksgiving dinner at my parent's house with my family. We had a great time- Katie ate so much ham!

This Christmas we had Jason's whole family in town at our house! It has been a long time since everyone has been able to be in the same place for the holidays! It was a lot of fun to have Katie and Thomas together for Christmas morning-they both got so much stuff! I think everyone had a good time! Mark, Wendy and Thomas were only here for a couple of days, but it was great to see them!
Jason, Katie and I went over to my parents house after we opened presents at our house. The kids had a great time- it was a little louder over at their house with Mason, Katie and McKinley all opening presents and playing with their new toys! We drew names between my siblings and spouses this year which was great- we just bought more stuff for the kids instead! Next Christmas will be even more crazy since we will have two more babies- Ellie and the next baby O'Neal! I'm hoping they have another girl so we will have four girls in a row...poor Mason!

So I'm not the best at keeping up with our blog....but we've been a little busy since we posted last! We've built a new house that we have now been in for about 7 weeks, taken a couple of trips, and also...we're having another baby! That's right...Katie will be a big sister in March! And we just found out today that it is going to be another little GIRL! Jason is definately going to be outnumbered....he may have to get another boy dog to even things out (j/k..that's just what we need is another dog!)Katie is getting so big, and she talks non-stop! She loves to sing (all the time) and her favorite songs right now seem to be the ABC song, This Little Light of Mine, and Jesus Loves Me. She is going to her same little preschool 2 days a week, which lets me run errands and get a few things done without her-not that I don't LOVE taking her places! Ha! She cracks us up with the things she says and right now she thinks my belly button is her portal to the new baby! Apparently, you can talk to and tickle a baby inside it's mother if you speak directly into or tickle the belly button! So cute!

Katie also got to go to her first Razorback football game with Jason! I thought they would last maybe half of the first quarter, but they stayed until the 4th! Then, while they were walking back to the car (which apparently was very far away!) Jason asked Katie if she would walk for a while. Katie told him NO! She was tired! So cute!

I am going to try and do a better job of blogging more than every 6 months....but we'll see!

Easter!

He is Risen!

We had a wonderful Easter! Jason's Mom & Dad arrived in town the Thursday night before Easter. They have not seen Katie in person since she was about 9 months old! We went to church Sunday morning and it was wonderful, then we all went over to my parent's house for a big lunch and for the easter egg hunt....but we decided that next year we will do a dinner and after-nap-egg-hunt! Katie & Mason were a little tired and cranky by the time we finished everything and it was waaay past nap time!

I got a new camera and I love it! It is a Nikon D-3000 and I am trying to figure out how to use it...it has a great auto mode, but it can do so many other things and I think I may take a class to figure it out!

We are waiting for the arrival of our newest nephew....Baby Thomas will be here any day & I know Wendy & Mark are ready to meet him! We all are!

Today is Katie's second birthday! I can NOT believe she is 2! She is getting to be such a big girl and can do so many new things! Last night we made sugar cookies to take to her class today-she helped with the sprinkles and did an excellent job! Then when I picked her up, we went to play at a local church that has a huge, three story playground! Mason, McKinley, and Aunt Julie met us over there. Then we had Chick-fil-a for dinner (of course) and finished up with cake, ice cream and presents at home! We are having our Dora birthday party on Saturday, so tonight it was just our little family!

Snow Day!

Well, we have had an interesting couple of weeks! Katie has had pneumonia AND the stomach bug over the last two weeks! She has been such a trooper! She really only felt bad for a couple of days when she had pnuemonia, but it was awful having to take her to the doctor twice with 102-103 fever (the first time I took her she was acting fine and running around-just had 102!), having a chest xray and lab work, antibiotics for 10 days, and then when she finally felt better and started getting her appetite back, she got the stomach bug for 12 hours! At least it was a short bug and Jason & I didn't get it!

We have had so much snow/ice this year! This week it was mostly snow, so we bundled Katie up and took her outside for a few minutes to play! She loved it! We took lots of pictures and videos, so it was great! Hope everyone is doing well and having a great 2010 so far!

I know...I haven't blogged in awhile! I'm going to try and do better in 2010! We had a wonderful Christmas this year! Katie had so much fun this year! She has so many new toys, but I think her favorite present was her little kitchen-she has had so much fun "making" dinner for us and putting things in and out of the play microwave, oven, & refrigerator. This year was definatley more fun than last Christmas for her-last year she had no idea what was going on. This year, I still don't think she quite understands, but she knows she has new toys to play with!

Katie had her first haircut the day after Christmas! We went to a cute shop called "Pigtails & Crewcuts" and they have little cars or airplanes the kids can sit in while they get their hair cut. Katie loved the little car at first, but as soon as they started cutting her hair she started crying! It was so pitiful...but of course I took lots of pictures and recorded the whole thing! I know she will love that later on!

We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and has a Happy New Year!

I LOVE Kroger! Walmart may be closer and more convenient....but they do NOT have the grocery carts with cars attatched to the front! Katie is awful when we go to Walmart-she won't sit in the cart or let me hold her or walk beside me...she just wants to run everywhere! But at Kroger, she sits nicely in the car and just drives it or reads a book! It is amazing...so... we are definately Kroger people now! Sorry Walmart!

Vaca!

This year we just took a mini vacation to Dallas. With all of our moves this summer, we didn't want to do anything too big! So, we decided to just go down several days early for the Razorback/Texas game this year. We had such a fun week! Before we left LR we took Katie to The Little Gym and to the zoo! She loved them both! Then when we were in Dallas we went to the Dallas Aquarium, several different malls and outlets (love that Carter's!) and we saw Aunt Wendy & Uncle Mark! Katie and I didn't go to the game, but we watched it while Jason went with Uncle John and their friends Reagan & Scott. They had a great time and we even won! We had lots of fun on our mini trip and Katie did very well, except for the fact that our hotel only had a big shower (no tub) and Katie did NOT like it! So, she only got 2 baths the whole week since she would scream when we put her in the shower! I think we finally have everything settled at our new place for now, and even though it is a little crowded, we're making it work! Here are a few pics of our trip! Shark!

Whew! Well, after spending about a month at my parents house, we finally moved again! Who needs to work out when you move every month! Katie loved spending time at Nana and Bapa's house, and they loved having her there (I think!). We had the upstairs suite~such a hard life! Dewey roughed it out at Chenal pet palace in his own room with a bed off of the floor and air conditioner AND a TV! I did a few home repairs for my parents (ha!) to make it worth their while for us to stay there....I replaced a blind, installed a new toilet paper holder, painted some trim, etc. I seem to be very handy! I am almost unpacked (again) and hopefully it will be awhile until we move again so we can recover. Once again, Jason's brother John helped him with all of the big stuff-we couldn't have done it without him!

We put Katie's crib up at the new place, and she is sleeping in it again! She was able to climb out of the one at my parent's house, but I think ours must be deeper or something, because she can't get out of it! Yeah! She is getting to be such a big girl-she can climb on anything (including the kitchen table) and at her 18 month check up last week she has finally moved out of the 5th percentile for weight!!! She is still small for her age at 20 lbs 11oz, but she has moved up to the 10th percentile now-woohoo! I know this may not be a big deal for everyone, but I constantly have to shovel calories into her and try to get her to eat. She eats many different kinds of food, just not a lot of each. Thank goodness for Pediasure! She's a big fan. Another thing she is a big fan of is suckers. Wow. I gave her one for the first time today (I know-why did I wait so long!?!?)when we went to the bank, and she could not stop saying "yummm" and "mmmm". It was hilarious, and I bought a whole bag of dum-dums at Walmart-maybe they will keep her occupied when we go to a store, because right now she does NOT want to sit in a cart or walk beside me and hold my hand. She just wants to run away! Not a good thing in Home Depot!

I think we may also get her haircut this month~it is finally long enough and at times she looks a little shaggy, so I think we will get a trim! I'll post some pics if we do!

This month we also went up to Fayetteville to meet The Binns' newest addition! Our good friends Kristy & Reagan and Katie's BFF Byron welcomed William Carter Binns on 9/9/09! He is so cute and was almost as big as his brother! So much fun!

I hope everyone is doing well! Sorry it has been so long since I have posted, but we have been living in boxes and I couldn't find my camera cord to post pics!

We've moved!

Well, the last two weeks have been soooo busy! We sold our house, moved, and have been on several trips! Last weekend we moved, and it was such an ordeal-we rented the biggest truck (26'), filled it totally up, Jason drove it to LR and unloaded, then drove back up the next day and we loaded it again! We had several friends come over to help us, and Jason's brother John came and helped the whole time-we could not have done it without him-Thanks sooooo much John! We owe you a steak at Sonny Williams!
Then we came back to Rogers this week-Jason had some work and Katie and I came to play for a couple of days. I helped give a baby shower for my friend Kristy on Saturday morning, and then her son Byron had his 2nd birthday Saturday night! It was at Gulley Park and it was so much fun-Katie ran and ran and climbed and went down the slide, ate a whole hotdog, cheetos, and a big orange cupcake. I'll put some pictures on when I can find my cord to connect the camera-I'm not sure where it is since we moved!

These are quite possibly the cutest baby sandals EVER! I saw them at Dillards earlier this summer, but I didn't want to pay $40 for them! But this weekend they were half off and THEN another 30% off of that! So, they had 1 pair left in Katie's size and I bought them-I would have bought some for myself too if they made them in adult sizes (I checked.....they don't!) She probably won't even like wearing them, but at least there will be some cute pictures!

Here are some new pictures and a video. It may be awhile until I update again...in case you haven't heard, we sold our house! We are very thankful that we were able to sell it in this market and actually get a good price for it! We will be moving in less than 3 weeks though-so the next few weeks may be crazy!! We are excited about being closer to my family and for the new opportunites that are ahead, but also SO sad about leaving so many friends and 2 of my siblings! We will definately miss everyone- we love NWA, our church and love our house...this is where we brought Katie home! Our plan is to definately come up to visit as much as we can...and hopefully our friends can come visit us too! Most of our friends have family in LR too, so I hope we can see them when they come to visit their families! We'll keep you updated!

Little Monkey!

Ok....guess who can climb up onto the couch and through the window into our kitchen?!?! This is definately dangerous! I had to get it on video though, and Jason was standing right over by Katie while she was climbing. She climbs on everything now-she even pulled her rocking horse over next to the end table, stood on the horse and then stepped up onto the table! I just hope we don't have any major accidents!

Our word of the week is WOW! Not just wow, but WOW! She says it a lot and it is so funny! Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Swimming!

We got a little giraffe baby pool for Katie to swim in...she likes it, but I think she likes to take a bath more! She is also starting to say a few more things, like "ball" " more" and something that kind of sounds like "rock" when she gets on her horse or in a rocking chair. Our newest body parts to identify are toes and knees. She says "mmmmmmm" for a cow, but everything else still roars! She can make a hissing noise, so I am trying to get her to do that for a snake.

Last weekend Katie went to stay with Nana while I went to Dallas with my friend Kristy to shop! We had a great time, and the kiddos had fun with grandparents. I got a few things for myself, but mostly stuff for Katie of course! It is just way more fun to shop for her-at least her clothes don't cost that much! I wish I already knew if my sister was having a boy or a girl....I could have bought him/her a lot of new stuff! We will know soon! Yeah!

Poor Katie is also teething a lot! She still only has four teeth (that's all she has had since Christmas!!!) I think she may just have several coming in right now, so hopefully they will feel better soon! She has been waking up in the middle of the night hurting, but she usually goes back to sleep after we give her some motrin or teething tablets and rock for awhile (or bring her to our bed!)

New Pics! Katie is getting bigger- she has now hit the 20 lb mark, so we turned her car seat around! Big deal...considering most kids her age were turned around almost 3 months ago! She now knows where her ears, mouth, nose, eyes, bellly button, hair, and knees are-we are working on more, and it usually only takes a day or two to get a new part since she is super smart! We are also trying to learn what sounds animals make, but right now everything "roars"....lions, bears, birds, pigs....everything except dogs, and she has a different sound for them. Favorite foods right now are: chicken nuggets, pears, carrots, american cheese slices, meatballs, peanut butter and jelly sandwhiches, and fudge stripe cookies. She pretty much has chicken nuggets everyday for lunch....I offer other foods most days, but if she doesn't eat whatever I gave her, I usually give her some nuggets because I know she will eat them! New activities: climbing on all of the chairs (including the office chairs so she can hit the computer buttons), running back and forth in her crib, pushing the high chair all over the kitchen, and riding in the cozy coupe! Just a little update-hope everyone is doing well!

I tend to talk all about Katie on our blog, but a little side note about me- I just made my sister Rachael some curtains! I am pretty proud of myself-they look good and she loves them-it was my first attempt with sewing to make anything big like this, and they turned out well, so who knows what I will try next! I will put some pictures up when we get them hung up!

Ok.....this video is so funny-we went to the park the other day to play, and Jason held Katie up to the monkey bars to see what she would do, and she grabbed on and wouldn't let go! It obviously made me a little nervous, but Jason was practically holding onto her. What a little monkey!

Tonight we had some pancakes..which Katie has tried before, but she likes the syrup, and that always ends up making a HUGE mess since she loves to put it in her hair and everywhere else! So, I tried making her little pancakes with the syrup already in them-I mixed the syrup and melted butter in with the batter and then cooked them-it was a great success! All the taste without the mess! Well, almost-she did still put some pancake in her hair!

Here are just some of the new things Katie is doing! She is pretty entertaining....who would have thought eating pizza, going to Walmart and watching your old year old slide was a fun Friday night??? We laugh at the funny things she does all the time. This week she can show you where her nose is, shake her head yes (which is amazing since her favorite word is NO!) and kind of say hello-it sounds more like yelo, but we get the point.

We went to the nutrionist this week since she is still small for her age (she weighed 18 lb, 1 oz on thursday). That is only the 3rd percentile- but part of her problem is that because she is so tall (75th percentile) her height-to-weight ratio is waaaay below the chart. Their advice: feed her whatever she wants and add some of the following items to her diet: sweetened condensed milk, half-and half, ice cream, whipping cream, chocolate syrup, cream cheese, peanut butter, butter, olive oil, etc. We also ordered some tasteless powder to add to her food or drinks that has 60 calories per tablespoon. They told me to add as many calories as we can, so we will see if she gains much over the next month. I wish someone would tell me to eat like that!

Today Katie had a BMT (bilateral myringotomy)...otherwise known as getting tubes in her ears. She has had about 5 ear infections over the last six months, so we have been on a lot of antibiotics! I have taken care of a ton of other babies that had this done..we do about 2-5 a day in the ambulatory care center at the hospital where I work. It is really a minor procedure...but nothing seems minor when it is MY baby! She did very well though...she cried when they took her back, and was screaming very loudly when they brought her back, but then she calmed down as soon as she got to eat! We are so proud of her-she is so brave! Hopefully we won't have to have any more procedures any time soon!

We had a wonderful 1st birthday Party! We had a lot of family and friends over, and Katie did a great job eating her cake! Sorry the video is so long, but it was so funny to watch her eat the cake. Her actual birthday is on tuesday, but we wanted everyone to be able to come so we had it this weekend! It even snowed, just like the day she was born...isn't that weird? Enjoy!

Can we say bad hair day? Katie's hair has been wild lately! I'm not sure if it is just static or what? We have had a fun weekend....just us girls! Daddy took a trip and we missed him! I've been scrapbooking a lot this weekend after Katie has gone to bed, which I have really been needing to do! We are getting things ready for her 1st Birthday party! It is going to be next Saturday at 4:00pm, and we have lots of friends and family coming to help us celebrate!

We had a great Valentine's Day! Jason brought home some flowers for me, and he brought a HUGE balloon for Katie, which she loves! She has carried it around with her since he gave it to her yesterday...it is so funny!

Guess who can walk! Katie has been taking a few steps now and then for the last few weeks, but yesterday she really started to take off! She is definately getting braver! She can even bend down and pick something up and continue on her way! We are so proud! And, we have discovered that she really likes mini oreos! Who wouldn't?!?

Katie is such a monkey! She can climb into her chair that my mom got her for Christmas...but we have not mastered the art of getting out of it! We are trying to teach her to turn around and slide out backwards, but she doesn't quite get it yet!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! We did! Katie had so much fun-she even almost made it through the Christmas Eve service at church-she got fussy towards the end, right before the candles were lit, which actually was probably a good thing to miss. I'm not sure babies and fire are a safe combo! Christmas morning she had so many toys she didn't even know what to play with-I didn't wrap all of her presents since I would have had to unwrap them. I just laid everything out in her chair, and she had a great time! She has learned to climb up into her little chair, which is a little dangerous since she tries to stand up in it and climb over the back..she is such a little monkey! Jason got me (and himself) a new video camera, so hopefully I will be able to post more videos..I'm trying to figure it out!

Not A Big Fan of Santa!

We went to go see Santa at the mall today. I was suprised that we only had to wait about 5 minutes! Our Santa was very authentic...he had a real beard, and no "extra" padding..all natural! Katie was not really sure what to think about him....there were tears and a lot of looking around to find dad again! Maybe she will like him next year!

Top Ten things we are Thankful for this year:

Katie-Jason and I are both most thankful for our sweet baby girl. She is truly a blessing and sometimes we just look at her and are amazed that she is here and is ours! She is growing so quickly and we are enjoying every moment of it!
Jason- I am so thankful that I have an amazing husband who is a wonderful godly man, a great provider, and my best friend. We have been married 8 1/2 years, and it has flown by! I think having Katie has brought us closer together because it took us so long for her to get here!
Family- The older I get, the more I realize how important my family is, and how much they mean to me. Even though we may not always be together, I know how much we love each other.
Friends- I am so thankful for the friends God has given us, and it is amazing how so many of them have ended up here!
Church- I love our church. The worship there is amazing, and I really enjoy the teaching from our different leaders.
Food- Ok....this one is not so serious, but Jason made a pumpkin cheescake from scratch and it was really good! I had recorded Paula Dean making one on the DVR, and he watched it and made it while I was in LR for my mom's surgery! Very amazing and delicious!
Work- I'm thankful for my job, even though I don't like to have to leave Katie when I go. I love the people I work with, and I am thankful I do have a job when so many people don't right now.
Weather- I love the cold weather!
My dogs- Poor things are so neglected now that Katie is here! Thankfully, Emmi loves Katie...I think they will be best friends, and well, if Dewey ever calms down, I'm sure he will love her too. They both really appreciate the area under the high chair!
Christmas! Can you be thankful for Christmas at Thanksgiving? I am!

Byron was not wearing his pajamas this day, but he does have pj's just like the ones Katie has on in these pics-it is so funny when they both wear them!

We just got home from Little Rock! I have been in two weddings in two weeks! Last week I was in my sister Julie's wedding-she looked beautiful and everything went smoothly! Yesterday I was in my friend Molly's wedding-it was a lot of fun and Molly looked beautiful!

Jason's parents are in town-they were very excited to see Katie-she has grown up a lot since they saw her last! They agree that she is the cutest baby in the world!

I took Katie to one of the craft fairs up here last weekend, and these are a few of the things we got...a TuTu, and lots of different bows and headbands! It is amazing how many people commented on her bows! She doesn't try to pull them off either, so I guess we will wear them...as long as Jason isn't around! He pulls them off of her as soon as he sees them!

Well, I finally decided to start a blog....since everyone else in the world has one! I am apparently a little late with stuff like this-I just joined facebook a few months ago! Just in case anyone out there needed a few more pics of Katie, this will be another place to find them.
